Houston - the largest city in the state of Texas is named after Sam Houston, the first president of Republic of Texas who was also the General of Texas army that gained indepandance from Mexico. The city is the residence to 2.2 million people (2008 U.S. Census) and is ranked as the fourth largest city in United States after New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Nicknamed as the USA SpaceCity, Houston is also the business, industrial (mainly oil, natural gas, aeronautics, biomedical), financial and sea port hubs that connects to the heartland of the state.
Our weekend trip to Space Center Houston and Houston New Chinatown did not allow us to spare too much time in the Houston Downtown.
As a result, the following are only some shots captured along our drive and a brief stop near the METRO light rail station at Market Street.

Hope to make another trip there again!
