Singapore Botanic Gardens Outdoor Playground
Singapore Botanic Gardens is certainly one of the best outdoor playground to take kids to visit in Asia! Safe, clean, quiet, massive, well-maintained and educational, these are not the only adjectives to describe that you made a great choice. If you are planning for a family outing to Singapore Botanic Gardens for the first time, finding out how to get there is perhaps one of things to do before embarking into the nature. Ask friends, ask locals or seek online information.

Singapore Botanic Gardens MRT - Alight at CC19
Depending on your need and budget, there are a number of ways to reach Singapore Botanic Gardens. For visitors that stay near the MRT stations, hop on the train is the most convenience and economical transportation that take one right to the new gate of Singapore Botanic Gardens. Look out for CC19, that's the MRT station code for Botanic Gardens on Circle Line. The station is also wheels friendly with lift service provided from train platform.

Established in 1859 as a research and educational hub, Singapore Botanic Gardens has plenty to offer for everyone every day. An amazing park, this soul healing place is perfect for naturalists and children. Visitors fall in love with the tropical Eden, the home to an enormous variety of shrubs, ferns, herbs and trees. Steep in history, the treasures in the Singapore Botanic Gardens are well-preserved and acknowledged with plates dictating information of each, great for self-exploratory tour within this Singapore's so-called national park.

The Banstand for example,it showcases a glimpse of Victorian architectures. Lies in a rim of handsome Yellow Rain Trees, a walk into this loop is as if taking one to greet autumn in Singapore with golden leaves above and some dotting the ground. Also made presence are stunning sculptures that are sprinkled over the area in between the Botany Centre and Ginger Garden. 'Lady on a Hammock', 'Swing Me Mama' and 'Girl on a Swing' are some of the delightful free-standing art-works donated to the gardens. Not to miss certainly are the three scenic lakes (Symphony, Swan and Eco), Palm Valley and Rainforest trail to discover the centuries old trees such as Tembusu - that is older than the Gardens itself!

Great Outdoor Playground for Kids in Singapore
Be prepared to walk more than a fair bit, hence head there with a comfortable pair of walking shoes. Taking baby there is wonderful. Make sure you load stroller into trunk if you are going by car or cab. Trust me, this green lung is huge, keep expanding and today taking a size of one fifth of Central Park in New York City. An escapade away from bustling metropolitan, Singapore Botanic Gardens is a fun place for family. Running, picnicking, naming plants, photo shooting, watching birds/swans, flying kites, playing Frisbee, rolling on skate boards, singing/dancing under the sun or simply admiring the nature, there endless stuff to do it here. Another garden within the Gardens that no kids should miss is Jacob Ballas Children's Gardens!

Botanic Gardens is the children's place. Kids friendly, reflecting on the international menu at the restaurants, kid's height drinking water fountain to a designated baby room for diapering/breastfeeding stuff, Singapore Botanic Gardens is also a smoke free park that made you feel you belong there. Opening hours is from 5am to midnight, the admission in the Gardens is free except the entrance into National Orchid Gardens. Singapore Botanic Gardens is an amazing outdoor playground, a paradise in big city, a must-visit if you ever step foot on Singapore!
