Located at the same level with the QB Mall Cineplex, Queens Food Court stages mainly the flavors of Asia under one roof. Woks from the Land of Rising Sun (Japan) and the Beautiful Island (Formosa/Taiwan) across the Land of Thousand Smiles (Thailand/Malaysia) to the home of Taj Mahal, Queens Food Court definitely has something of Asia to offer you.
Operated in an Asian way, each vendor mans their own stalls like a typical street vendor. Noodles, rice, ramen, curry, briyani, teppanyaki, tom yum, egg tart, vegetarian, and most of all are the Penangites' top favorites - assam laksa, 'ais kacang' (famous Malaysian dessert), nasi lemak and satay are there for grab.

Speaking of ambiance, they provide simple wooden benchesĀ to the marble tables and rustic chairs of old kopitiam style. Meals or dishes from any stalls are allowed to crisscross over the dining zone.
And it is self service so one can walk and pick their favorite right then. Pricing is above the average if one were to compare with other outdoor hawker centers in Penang.
One of my favorite stalls is Peranakan cuisine. Jiu hu char, curry chicken, assam pedas soup, though not the best to recommend, they somehow still make me drooling.
For beverages and snacks, I like the soy milk and yu tiau (deep fried wheat dough) from I Love Yoo stall. Price and food are good, but lots of room to improve on their service level and business manner. Aside from serving their signatures, they also sell other deep fried snacks i.e. ham chin peng. It is sometimes referred as a Chinese savory pancake, or a deep fried round bread. The moment for my sinful indulgence but trust me, once is a blue moon is alright
If you are at QB Mall, and can't conclude what to tuck in, Queens is perhaps the answer. Be there and pamper yourself!
Direction: Queensbay Mall - Level 3 North Zone.
