A Hill on A Hill at David Brown'sWhether you're celebrating your anniversary or taking your honey for a romantic meal, David Brown Penang Hill Restaurant can be considered the most perfect place for you! Located at the summit of Bukit Bendera over 700 m from sea level, Penang Hill David Brown's Restaurant offers a spectacular view of George Town's skyline, Penang Bridge, the sea and all the way to the land on peninsular in a quiet atmosphere on a lawn for outdoor dining. Or opt for a table for two in a retro ambiance, set up inside a rustic European bungalow!

Located on Strawberry Hill (named after strawberry that was once planted at this peak) next to the Penang Hill Railway Station at the summit, the wooden gate and a tiny booth by the paved summit road is hardly missed. If you pass by these days, sometimes you can hear the slow rock music blasted from Sky Terrace, another great spot to steal a panoramic view of Penang and its surroundings. Also belongs to David Brown's, Sky Terrace offers a more casual setting perhaps for drinks and light snacks or desserts.
Above this contemporary eatery of David Brown's, take the red bricks staircases and pebbled paths, they lead you further up to a rustic bungalow that once was called David Brown's Cottage. Restored as close as to the original structure, this site is a hill on a hill stretches on a spacious lawn with a rectangular lotus pond taking the center stage on this beautiful green carpet, blends in a handful of dining tables sprinkling under the shady pines next to the well-landscaped gardens.

David Brown Penang Hill - A Touch of Retro
Open daily from 9 am to 9pm, David Brown Penang Hill features a Western menu that includes all-day breakfast. The mains from grill stuff are nothing much to boast but the restaurant certainly offers a great place to experiment a simple English afternoon-tea. Unwind in a laid back atmosphere as the chilled breeze takes your worries and stress away while savoring sandwiches, fruit cakes, scones, some fresh fruits and a cuppa of black tea. I certainly vote this place for a luxury dining atmosphere in nature that nowadays is hardly spot anymore in Penang!
